Vacuum Receiver is a specialized glass component used in distillation assemblies to connect the outlet of a condenser to a receiving flask while allowing for vacuum or gas introduction. Also known as a Vacuum Take-off Adapte.

Key Performance Features
  • Material: 3.3 Borosilicate glass
  • Airtight Connections: Precision-ground joints ensure compatibility with other components like distilling heads and condensers.
  • Vacuum Safety: The heavy-walled construction is specifically designed to safely withstand the external pressure of a vacuum without risk of implosion.
  • Drip Tip: The internal drip tip extends below the lower joint to prevent distillate from contacting the ground-glass surface, which could cause "freezing" or contamination.
  • Design: A 105° bent short-stem adapter with a sealed-in drip tip at the lower end to guide condensed liquid into the collection vessel.
  • Vacuum Connection: Features an integrated serrated hose barb (tubulation) on the side, typically with an Outer Diameter (O.D.) of 810 mm to fit vacuum tubing.
