Frequently Asked Questions

Find immediate answers to common queries regarding laboratory equipment sourcing, delivery timeframes, SADC logistics, and after-sales support.

Sourcing & Product Ordering

Can I order items that are not listed on your online catalog?

Yes, absolutely. IMANI specializes in custom sourcing. We partner with leading manufacturers globally to procure specific grades of chemicals, customized laboratory furniture, and high-precision scientific instruments. Contact our sales team with your specifications.

How do I request an official quotation?

You can add items to your quote list directly on our website, submit a request via our Contact Us page, or email us at sales@imani.com.na. Please provide your company/institution details and the required quantities.

What happens if a product I ordered is out of stock?

Scientific inventory can fluctuate. If an item is out of stock, our team will notify you immediately. We will present you with equivalent alternatives, provide an estimated lead time for priority import, or process an immediate refund if payment was made.

Do you supply schools and universities in bulk?

Yes. We regularly supply bulk glassware, school science kits, physics apparatus, and chemical reagents to educational institutions and universities across Namibia. Contact us for bulk pricing structures.

Shipping, SADC Logistics, & Timeframes

How long does local delivery take?

For in-stock items, delivery in Windhoek and surrounding areas takes 2 to 5 working days. Our internal logistics team handles local drop-offs directly to ensure safe handling of delicate glassware and equipment.

Do you deliver outside Windhoek and across the SADC region?

Yes. We ship nationwide within Namibia via trusted local couriers. For cross-border clients in the SADC region (e.g., Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe), we can arrange secure freight and manage all necessary export documentation and certificates.

What are the import lead times for custom or specialty orders?

Specialty equipment and custom-sourced items imported from overseas manufacturers generally take 3 to 8 weeks. This timeline includes manufacturing schedules, international transit, and customs clearance procedures at ports of entry.

Can I arrange my own courier for pickup?

Yes. Clients are welcome to arrange their own courier pickups from our Windhoek warehouse. Please coordinate with our sales admin to ensure your items are packed, labelled, and ready before the courier arrives.

After-Sales Support & Policy Queries

Do you offer installation and calibration services?

Yes. For complex laboratory instruments and medical devices, our technical team provides installation, initial calibration, and hands-on operational training for your staff to ensure accurate results and safe usage.

What is your return policy?

Due to the calibrated nature of laboratory goods, we do not accept returns or refunds unless we delivered the wrong item. Chemical reagents, opened items, and custom import products are strictly non-returnable. Please read our full Refund Policy for details.

Are products covered under warranty?

Most instruments and electronic equipment carry standard manufacturer warranties (typically 12 months). The warranty covers manufacturing defects but excludes damages caused by misuse, power surges, or improper handling.

Can I return opened chemicals or reagents?

No. To maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and prevent cross-contamination, we enforce a zero-return policy on all chemical reagents, diagnostic kits, and temperature-sensitive biological media.

Payments & Accounts

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) and secure card payments. Payment details are provided on all official quotations and invoices. For security reasons, we do not accept cash payments at our warehouse.

Do you offer credit accounts for institutions?

We work with purchase orders (POs) from verified educational institutions, government bodies, and established clinics/hospitals. Standard commercial credit accounts are subject to application, credit checks, and written approval by management.
